Updates from an Evening of Music with Meaning: a Fundraiser for TIPS!

An evening to usher in the oncoming summer internship program that was anything but typical.

Hear us out, TIPS is an organization focused on developing our future leaders through professional public service experiences - but sometimes we feel like a celebration is in order to acknowledge the achievements of our amazing community of intern alumni, family, and friends!

An Evening of Music with Meaning was hosted by TIPS' Board Chair (Joe Brotherton), to fundraise for the coming year's class of teen interns. Together we were able to raise $20,000 to support the development of teen leaders in our community!

Not only did we get to hear from the Red Water Trio with Ricardo and Friends featuring Richard Russell and Seattle's own Brook Lizotte, we danced, chatted, and caught up with the individuals who support our mission to provide teens with life changing internship experiences.

The event was held in Capitol Hill at the gorgeous performance space "At The Church" and featured expertly dished up Italian plates by MangiaMe!, a gourmet food truck.  All of the above plus gorgeous weather and great company made for an amazing event!

Red Water Trio and Friends provided an entertaining soundtrack for the evening!

Many thanks are due to the amazing group of performers, volunteers, event staff, and vendors who expertly crafted a beautiful evening of entertainment.  We hope to host a similar event next Spring! Please contact Linda Tessier (director@teensinpublicservice.org) if you would like to host a TIPS fundraiser, or if you are interested in serving on a fundraiser planning committee for our Fall Luncheon.
