Thank you for submitting your new hire paperwork before the intern orientation on May 30th.

Please remember to print and complete your I-9 form!


Read the directions below and make sure you have all the documents needed to turn in your I-9 form successfully at the Intern orientation.

Along with the new hire paperwork you filled out online, all employees must turn in a physical copy of their I-9 form with proof of identification to be employed by Teens In Public Service.

You must bring this form completed correctly to the intern orientation on May 30th, along with the requested documents, below. We will not have extra copies of this form nor a copy machine on site - you must bring your own copies of these requested documents!

I. Filling out the I-9 Form

Please read the instructions on the form very carefully and complete only Section 1 on page 1. TIPS will fill out the remaining sections of this form.


II. Documents you need to bring with you to orientation

The Documents needed to accompany your I-9 form can be found on page 3 of the I-9 packet.

You will need to bring both THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT + A PHOTO COPY of the identification documents listed below.*

Please bring one each of the following:

  1. Your completed I-9 form - bring only the original form you filled out

  2. Either a US Passport or US Passport Card (List A) - OR - one of the documents included in List B (documents such as a driver’s license, School photo ID are acceptable forms of identification) - bring original and a copy

  3. Your Birth Certificate (List C) - bring original and a copy

We will not have a photo copy machine at the orientation, so please bring the photo copies with you. If you do not have a photo-copier at home, please plan ahead to make your copies at school, a public library, or an office printing shop (ie: FedEx/Kinkos).

*Please note TIPS must see the original documents for approval of your I-9 paperwork; we will return them to you immediately upon review at the intern orientation. These are important materials, please keep them safely stored and organized.
